Long distance running 'rounds' such as the Bob Graham, the Paddy Buckley to name a few, are a traditional part of the fell running world. I love these hills, I love trail and fell running and I love encouraging people to explore and have an adventure. So I have created 2 Rounds for you to enjoy. The Surrey Hills Grand Round and the Mini Round.
Information:
The start and finish point of both routes is the Starveall Corner Car Park, Leith Hill. The check points must be visited in order, but the route to each one is your choice. I suggest getting familiar with an OS map. Please respect this beautiful area. Stay within areas of public access, be careful not to drop litter and be ambassadors for the trail running community. Whether you chose to run or walk, enjoy exploring and hopefully discovering something new along the way. If you need some pointers re. how to navigate the route, please get in touch. I do not have GPX routes as the aim of the route is for those people looking for a new challenge to plot their own. If you wish your attempt to be verified, please submit your route either via Strava or gpx to[email protected]. I will keep a record of all attempts and publish.
The Surrey Hills GRAND Round: Approximately 50km depending on the route you choose. Checkpoints and grid references below
Surrey Hills MINI Round: Approximately 25km depending on what route you choose. Checkpoints and grid references below
Please consider supporting the areas, either through a donation or your volunteer time, through which these rounds take you.
