IMPROVE Individual Coaching: How many times do you actually look at how you run? Small tweaks, for example, around body position or trailing leg height can often make huge differences to our fitness, chance of injury, speed and ultimately enjoyment. In a short space of time, using video analysis and specific exercises, I can identify those improvements and give you a plan of action including strength and conditioning, drills and flexibility/co-ordination exercises. Improvers Groups: Brilliant for anyone who runs fairly regularly and would like improve technique, get fitter, faster and explore new trails. Importantly it is about getting out and about with others and having fun in the stunning Surrey Hills. If you have done C25K, you would like to improve your park run time or you have signed up a running event this could be for you. Where: New groups start reguarly. Introduction to Trail Running Half Day Workshop If you are already a runner and you would like to try your hand at trail running or perhaps you run trail but would like to improve your technique and get faster and more confident this is for you. Over 4 hours, we cover the key aspects of trail running and a whole lot more besides. Sessions can be geared towards the group needs and group running experience. The emphasis is on quality of running rather than distance covered.
A typical workshop would cover: - Welcome and aim of the session check-in - Effective ways of warming up for running - Drills to improve running technique and make you a more efficient runner - Uphill and downhill running technique - Kit check - a guided social run through the beautiful hills - how to train to meet your goals - Homemade cake and tea - Stretching after running?! - What next?
